Was here for dinner with friends. Not knowing what to expect, I was impressed with the quality and variety of food. It was just as well we booked, as the restaurant was full. Would happily return. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kana Kawa Restaurant:
Tried to get a table for 2 on a Friday night at 6pm.We were turned away as they said the restaurant was fully booked. We noticed all the tables had reserved on them but there was no one seated at them.As we have been here before,we know you can get a good meal and be back out the door under the hour. You can't tell me all the people were going to turn up before 7pm.Next time I might suggest they be a bit proactive and... We were invited to eat with friends recently in Kana Kawa in Caringbah. it is very conveniently located, a stone's throw from Caringbah station. Parking is also available on the street. It's BYO wine and beer. We had a number of dishes such as Sushi, Sashimi,...okonomyaki, Takoyaki, a delicious soup (which I cannot remember the name) popcorn prawns, katsu chicken among others. The only criticism I could make was the salad in the pre-prepared salad bowl seemed a little too enthusiastic, ie part frozen. Service was polite and fast. Kana Kawa exceeded my expectations by a measure. Not big on innovation, but everything except the salad was delicious.
This is one of the best sushi Japanese restaurants in shire. Great food (big portions), good inexpensive and authentic atmosphere. Very recommended. Better than many places around Cronulla.

Beautiful selection of dishes, all served beautiful and hot. My favorite would be the Oriental Pancakes. Also good sushi dishes available. In fact, the restaurants seem to be in the process of changing its name to Caringbah Sushi. There were many tables tonight, but... I suggest you book. Very reasonable prices meals. Around the corner from the train station
This small family run restaurant is a hidden gem seats approx. 40 people and we’ve been going there for about 17 years. They are consistent with their dishes and provide friendly service. Be sure to book on weekends and it’s BYO (Coles Liquorland is...just around the corner which is convenient). Recommend the Katsu Salmon (lovely golden baked crumb), chilli scallops served on sizzling hotplate and the Aburi Salmon (5 pieces great for entree). This is a really good value restaurant and highly recommend it for a relaxed meal.
