What User doesn't like about Sophia's Gourmet:
Took a friend to Sophia's Gourmet for morning tea. I hadn't been there before so I didn't know what to expect. The café looked tired, grubby and one of the men had tracksuit bottoms on that were disgusting - stained and dirty looking. Neither of us were game to eat anything. The coffee was very strong and we had to ask for extra milk. I will say the service was friendly. View all feedback.

This is my favorite spot where I always enjoy delicious fresh food! The lunch paninis are outstanding, my top pick is the one with grilled veggies, Italian scamorza cheese, and fresh bread - it's delightful! I've also dined here for dinner and the food is consistently excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel like you're dining at a friend's house with talented cooks. If you've been to Italy, you'll feel right at home here!
You don 't need to travel to Sicily to find the true taste of sicilian food, just book a table at Sophia 's Gourmet, a little gem hidden in Clayfield. It looks like a ordinary Italian Deli, not very fancy, but it displays first class cheeses and outstanding cured ham and salami, and fresh homemade dishes. You can chose to have lunch and dinner there, there are few tables available. We had dinner and we were welcomed by the smile and warmth of the young owners. The starters were a mix of ham, olives, grilled vegetables, special cheeses. Then a delicious swordfish and a decadent dessert. Everything was full of flavour and reminded me of the family run trattorie you can still find in Southern Italy, in small villages. I would surely recommend it.
Sophia's was fantastic! The Arancini Balls were wonderful. We enjoyed them with a side salad, which was surprisingly delicious thanks to the glazed dressing. You can also buy the dressing from Sophia's Deli. Sitting on the deck was a nice way to relax. The coffee was top-notch and the staff was great.
This is basically an Italian Deli with seating, so it's not a fancy restaurant, but the food is very tasty :
