It is with some trepidation that I write this review as I don't want Pawpaw Asian Kitchen to become so popular that I can't get in. (It is a fairly small restaurant and doesn't take bookings). This is possibly the best Asian restaurant that I have ever had the pleasure to dine in - equal to Mons Thai. The flavours are superb - true, traditional and absolutely delicious. The menu is wide and caters for all tastes. We dined in a group and had five different dishes between us. It was hard to pick a favourite as they were all fabulous, but I think the Wagyu Green Curry with green apple, kaffir lime, lychee and basil might just have the edge for me. Other dishes we had were Cashew Nut Stir Fry, Tamarind Fish, Holy Basil Stir Fry, BBQ Prawns, plus of course, the amazing Turmeric Coconut Rice. It is BYO. We went from a group of six chatting happily away before we got our meals, to a group of six completely quiet and happily savouring the flavours with the odd moan and exclamation of delight. I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant, and am so excited that we have a dining establishment of such high quality in our local area.
Thought I would pop by this cafe since I had heard it was popular, got there at 8am, waited for 15 minutes to order a coffee and was confused if it was
Lovely cafe/restaurant! Great service, attentive and polite Really interesting menu with some great asian-inspired and gluten free options.
This place is soooo damn tasty! It caters for all types of people as they include vegetarian/vegan options in their menu. My all time favourite dish is the beef cheek Massamun Curry! So tasty, the meat is so tender. I have been here about 4-5 times now and have not had a bad experience! Their shop is quite small, so on busy nights you'd be lucky to grab yourself a table! I'll be back many more times.
