Description

The restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, with some hits and some misses. The Buffalo wings were overly salty and the mains were decent but not outstanding. Service was friendly but the chef seemed indifferent to feedback. On the other hand, breakfast was pleasant with good coffee, although the bacon was average. The pre-lunch drinks and starters left something to be desired, with a lackluster presentation. Overall, the quality of the food was good, the staff was friendly, but some improvements in service were needed. Despite this, the convenient location makes it a viable option for pre-show dining.

New owners have done a great job with the new menu. Every flavour complimented another and there was plenty of gluten free and dairy free options, which my wife loved. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Nasi Goreng is definitely the current favourite.

Gluten free and vegan options! Super friendly and helpful staff! I tried their special salad which was like a beetroot slaw, I put a side of hoisin tofu with it and I think that was key. All of our dishes were good, but could have had a pinch more flavour punch. And the tofu was a bit overcooked. The chips were superb!! Overall I loved the unique menu and this is a fabulous place to try in New Farm.

Our first time coming here. It was lunch time and rather empty. I can see how nice the vibe would be if it was busy and maybe in the evenings. The stand out dish for us was the Hoisin Duck Pancake and the cocktail called Vice and Virtue. We also enjoyed the beef tataki even though sauce was a little too salty. The Nasi Goreng was good.

First time here with a group of 10 and loved it. Delicious food, beautifully presented and at refreshingly reasonable prices. Wine was delicious. The staff were superb; made us feel absolutely welcome, happily accomodating our diverse group's needs with ease. An easy and pleasant walk along the river from the Powerhouse. Our group chose to dine al fresco on the pavement as it was far less noisy than inside. We had a brilliant time and will return!

Quiet evening dinner and drinks at Common Vice and well worth it. Delicious food, eclectic wine list and a decent range of aperitifs, spirits and digestifs along with beer on tap. We had a meal of Beef tataki and the Vermicelli salad with lemongrass chicken. Both dishes were delicious, the salad is huge, the tataki was a perfect size and both were great to share. Recommended.
