Tŷ Nant - Cardiff
Tŷ Nant
Description
The Tynant pub, bustling with energy on a busy rugby Saturday, offers a lively atmosphere. While some patrons enjoyed sizeable, hot portions and friendly service from attentive staff like Alex and Ellie, others encountered issues ranging from rude service to lackluster meals. Complaints centered on bland flavors and improperly served items, with a few diners expressing discomfort over the presence of dogs in the dining area. Despite the inconsistencies, families appreciate the welcoming environment, making The Tynant a potential regular spot—if the service and food quality enhance their experience.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and it definitely won't be my last! The food was absolutely stunning, and there was plenty of it. I had the mixed grill, which was the best I've ever had. It was well worth the money. The decor is lovely, and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to come back.
I stopped by during my week off for a few early drinks and was greeted by Alex and a refreshing San Miguel. Excellent service. We also had dinner, which was delicious, and enjoyed a few more pints. Alex provided great service once again. Keep up the good work, everyone!
Overall, this restaurant is usually great, but our experience today was disappointing. The waitress was pushy and rushed, and seemed to be in a bad mood with us and other diners. The prices are high for mediocre food, and the drinks are overpriced. I don't plan on returning in the future.
Terrible food, terrible service, overpriced drinks. I don’t really know where to start with the awfulness of this pub. I live locally and next to no locals ever visit due to knowing how bad it is. The staff are dour and unwelcoming, if you do...
