What User doesn't like about Thai Lounge:
My first visit was very good I enjoyed the food and service was friendly even though they were busy. The second visit was very different experience the table was sticky and dirty the roses on the table were dead and we were not offered Parmasan with our food. Also, the amount of pasta was also less than I had previously. Will not be rushing back. View all feedback.
Please download the cardiff castle app and carry your earphone before you reach castle. The entry fee is a substantial amount (as compared to other castle in UK) visa viz what it offers. Only the castle entry is on payment. Time required for the visit is maximum 2 hrs. Nevertheless the surrounding area is also well maintained and one can spend time with family without the entry fee. Basic snacks, sandwiches and coffee is available. It's a good experience.
Advise you book tickets in advance to avoid queues during peak times and holidays. A very historic site of Cardiff, and most areas are accessible by either displaying or scanning your QR code on mobile. The walk to the very top of the castle is a must with great views. And don't forget the walk through the underground tunnels of old, with its sounds of war. A very good site well located and can be accessed off the main road or if you wish to complete a walk through the park of rare trees, then simply come round from the bottom end.
Coming from New Zealand, this is the first castle I've been to so it was really exciting! There was the famous dragon and areas of castle to explore. Near the entrance is a name history stall where I got to find out the origins of my own family name. The specialist in the stall was very knowledgeable, adding stories of history that he knew and it felt great to learn so much about my own ancestors. I'd recommend this short visit if you get the chance, it's a great break in the day and a chance to be surrounded by the amazing Welsh history of Cardiff.
Alone meal on the work trip, I did not take a photo of the starter, but they build them themselves packages were a pleasure. The main course was as expected, aromatic and spicy. Dessert was really nice with the sesame seeds giving the bananas a nutty edge. I will recommend this place to any of my colleagues who dare here in the next few months.
Just good food! Staff are friendly. Food was served a little late, but it is understandable that everything was freshly cooked. Go back.
