Feedback
This Indian restaurant in Cardiff offers a variety of dishes that are mostly tasty and well presented. However, some customers have experienced disorganized service with long wait times for both starters and desserts. The naans were described as small and not as fluffy as expected. Despite some mixed reviews on service and food quality, many loyal customers have praised the restaurant for its excellent service, courteous staff, and delicious food options. Overall, while there may be better places to eat in the area, this restaurant is a solid choice for those looking for a decent curry in Cardiff.
The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and it was an excellent value for the price.
The food at this restaurant is top-notch, not oily, and the naan breads are just the right size. The ambiance is nice, and the service is outstanding, especially during sporting events. The wine glasses are elegant, and they offer a good variety of wines. However, the menu is somewhat limited with only a few main dishes to choose from, and the bathrooms were not clean and had flushing issues. This is an area that definitely needs improvement as it detracted from an otherwise pleasant dining experience.
We visited the Spice Quarter on November 5th, during a busy match day. Despite anticipating the crowd, we were disappointed by the food quality. We opted for the Celebration Menu, which included all starters and one main dish with rice and naan for £31.99 - a price that did not match the underwhelming dishes we received. Our four starters were cold and unappetizing, while the main courses (Translucent King Prawn Jalfrezi and Chicken Tikka Masala) had nearly identical sauces, with the Jalfrezi containing added chilli powder and raw vegetables. Furthermore, we were surprised to find that desserts required an additional cost and took a long time to be served. Overall, the experience was a waste of money and we have no intention of returning to the restaurant.
Delicious and well made Indian food. The chicken Tikka starter was tender and flavorful, and the butter chicken was rich and creamy. Superb friendly service Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
