Pulse Cardiff, a popular nightlife destination, has elicited mixed reviews from patrons. While many have enjoyed vibrant performances and a lively atmosphere, recent visits have unveiled issues such as uncommunicated entry fees, staff unhelpfulness, and a lack of food service. Guests expressed disappointment over perceived discrimination at the door and experienced mixed interactions with security. However, several attendees praised the club's cleanliness, friendly staff, and inclusive environment, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community. Despite some negative experiences, many still see potential for enjoyable nights at Pulse, hoping for improvements on their next visits.

Was User at Pulse a mag?
I was reconciled last night, in no way I say that it is the fault of the club, I was there already some paints and always had an amazing night. I just wanted to give one thanks to the fantastic security that sought me, I am so glad that they took the time to take care of me and make sure I am safe after home! View all feedback.

Was a wonderful night out and atmosphere would definitely come again
Nice place but had to sit in a corner by the stairs, bit dark and couldn't quite hear the music
I booked this lunch date for my birthday with my housemates, and when we sat down we opened the ordering app and realised there was no food option, after flagging a server down he said they aren 't serving food right now! When we went to leave, all the staff were looking at us and as we passed the doorman/manager person he was extremely defensive and said well we haven 't served food for 18 months as if we were supposed to know that, it was the first time in a long while we had left the house to be social, there was no way of knowing they weren 't serving food! I was extremely disappointed and was so sad as it was a Saturday afternoon in cardiff and therefore nowhere was available unless you had a booking, there was no compensation offered and he just shrugged as we left! It was for my 25th birthday and I was just so heartbroken at the whole experience.
Pulse Cardiff is one of the most poorly run, toxic venues in the city. It hides behind a reputation of being inclusive, but in reality, it’s inconsistent, discriminatory, and filled with power-tripping staff who create more problems than they solve. There is no real dress code policy, yet security regularly turns people away based on personal bias or how someone “looks” — while letting others in wearing costumes, casual clothes, or barely anything. It’s selective enforcement at best, outright discrimination at worst. The bar staff are rude and unprofessional, often overcharging people for basic mixers and getting defensive or aggressive when questioned about it. Reports of drinks being tampered with, watered down, or deliberately altered are not uncommon — and that is completely unacceptable. Management and security clearly lack training in both customer service and safety. There are multiple reports of victims being ignored, mocked, or accused of lying when trying to report harassment or unsafe situations. This is a venue that puts people at risk by refusing to take complaints seriously. Their inflated egos are clearly doing overtime to make up for whatever they’re lacking elsewhere — because there is zero professionalism, maturity, or respect shown to the people keeping the place open. For a place that claims to be a safe space, Pulse fails on every level — respect, accountability, consistency, and basic decency. It’s an embarrassment to Cardiff’s nightlife and to the LGBTQ+ community it pretends to support. I genuinely hope this place gets investigated, reported, and shut down. It doesn’t deserve the licence it holds. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
