We celebrated our twentieth anniversary yesterday, and I must say that the staff was incredible—they truly spoiled us! The food was out of this world. We've visited this pub before and thought it was just okay, but it seems like something has changed in the kitchen. The dishes were absolutely beautiful. The staff made us feel really special, especially the lady behind the bar, whom we owe a big thank you. We will def... View all feedback.
What Red h doesn't like about Plymouth Arms:
Very well presented meals Unfortunately the food was average at best. What made it worse was the disgusting service we received from the staff. The one member of staff long brown hair was nothing short of rude and made it quite clear she saw us as an invonvenience. Not even a goodbye and thank you on the way out .Customer service training is needed all round. That eat is a pointed notch. the atmosphere is wonderful. love this pub. loves the inner of the pub. the feeling about the place is old and at home and I like how it is divided into small areas where they can have a little private sphere if they want. they love the historical antique feeling over the place. I didn't try the ales, but I'm sure they're just as good.
Could not have picked a better venue for our family special dinner today ,rare to see a lovely open fire, crackling away and cosy atmosphere !,the Christmas 3 course meal was perfect ,the service ,food ,surroundings were 10/10 thank you ,we are very happy with our time there overall and are coming back x already booked for January x
So this was our second visit this time to enjoy a Sunday roast. She had the vegetarian option which was a candied roast consisting of rice, beetroot and seeds. I had the pork belly. Both dishes came with a generous medley of roasted and steamed vegetables. Despite the large plates of food I thought the serving of pork was undersized for the price. Having said that the service was faultless and the atmosphere very warm and agreeable. A charming place to have Sunday dinner.
Great pub and incredibly friendly staff. Visited this place whilst on Holiday and it had all the trademarks of a Plymouth pub including beers and ciders from Devon. Parking is around the rear of the pub and you must register your vehicle when you arrive. Food came out swiftly and tasted great. Reasonable prices and very filling. @momentsofoutdoors for more
Wonderful environment, not your usual pub food. Will admit the hunter chicken I had isn’t your usual. Gutted with the creme brûlée as it’s not like it states on the website, they do either a cherry or apricot and it changes daily, no plain ones. Very very limited on anything gluten free. I just suffered with it for a lovely meal
