This small, hidden gem had an incredible selection of fresh cakes, salads, and wraps. They had fantastic options for vegans and those who are gluten-free. The staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation with all the customers. It was such a lovely place that felt like being at home.

We stood in the doorway for around 10 minutes and were blatantly... read more My partner and I decided to visit Kemis after being told by a family member that it was great. We stood in the doorway for around 10 minutes and were blatantly ignored until we had to approach them ourselves and ask if there was any availability. We were turned away due to a lack of tables. We took it lightly and thought we’d visit a second time the week after. The experience was almost exactly the same. Not approached and ignored. When we were finally spoken to, the member of staff approached us with a very unfriendly tone and just said ‘ we’re full’. No smile, no hello, nothing. As someone who works in hospitality it is terrible to see a cafe barely greeting customers or making effort to get them seated, makes everyone feel very unwelcome. For this reason, I always go somewhere else as I feel out of place. Very strange and unwelcome atmosphere. Shame, as the reviews for the food seem great, the front of house staff let this place down massively.
