As so... read more I've heard many people say that Giggling Squid is worth a visit, but this was my first time after finally managing to book a table online well in advance. As soon as you arrive, the restaurant looks bright and inviting, situated at the nicer end of St David's Shopping Centre, decorated in pale blue with plenty of flowers. The menu is impressive, with so many tempting options that it was hard to choose. I started with the crispy squid, which was fantastic—packed with chili spice and accompanied by a delicious seafood dip. For my main course, I opted for the chicken massaman, served in a charming old-fashioned pan. It came in a generous portion with great heat. I also had egg fried rice on the side, which was perfect, along with some tasty roti breads for dipping. For dessert, they had a tres leches cake, which I used to enjoy back in Bahrain, but sadly I was too full to indulge this time. The beer selection included Chang, which I chose to have two of; there were other options, but I stuck with my favorite. The meal was reasonably priced, and the service was excellent the entire time. I’ll definitely be returning, and I might even try one of the semi-local branches if I can’t wait until my next trip to Cardiff. Hats off to the team—two paws up for a successful outing!
