It's just a diff... read more Having grown up in California, a hotbed for Mexican food, we were a little surprised by the fare at Speedy Amigos. It's not that it's bad food. It's just a different take on Mexican food than we're used to. Some of the ingredients had more...of a middle eastern feel to them. And perhaps this is from unavailability of Mex ingredients. Anyway, in a pinch this is pretty good food, but if you're from the southern states you might find it a little different than what you're used to.

We spoke to the manager who said that she felt there was nothing wrong with the food. We...said there was a problem and she told us you must be wrong' and that there was nothing she was going to do about this matter I said I would have to leave a bad review about this restaurant and said replied with go ahead, I don't care'. I have never received such poor service in my life or been spoken to so rudely!!! Please avoid this place.

T... read more I was initially disappointed to see that Daiquiris had closed, but then discovered that it had been rebranded and was still open, so don't let that deter you! The interior remains the same, with the bar being extended. The menu has some new additions, including Paella, but they still offer the delicious Onion Ring Tower. The staff were friendly and the food arrived promptly. My partner had the chicken Chimichanga, which was delicious, while I enjoyed the Chicken Fajitas. The sizzling fajitas drew attention from other diners, and the Onion Ring Tower with guac, salsa, and sour cream was as amazing as always. We washed it all down with Coronas before heading to a great gig at the nearby Students Union. Overall, another awesome night at Amigos. Just a heads up, they only accept cash so make sure to have some on hand or use the nearby cash machines. Thank you, Amigos! :)
