Keoki's South Kona Grindz

This is a definite 5 star. If you're looking for a local dive that has excellent food and a unique environment, this local restaurant is a must. My wife had fish and chips, I had the signature burger... both were excellent! They had a really cool old guy who played electric guitar and sang some awesome rock songs as well. They also had some cool gifts, souvenirs, and things. Lots to look at.

My husband and I had a great time and DELICIOUS food on the patio as the only customers on my birthday (6/2) and enjoyed talking to the staff and playing with Adonis. The crispy freshness of the fish had me thinking about it our entire trip. My husband loved his burger lol as you saw and if we had more time we would've ate there again. Try the onion rings! Great pop-in spot after a day exploring boutique coffee farms or spending a day in the ocean. Cozy, quiet, shady outdoor seating with super friendly servers. Ample portions of locally caught fresh fish can be shared or try the 1/2 order with a side of sweet potato fries or fat crunchy onion rings made to perfection. Many salads also available for lighter fare. No beer or cocktails here so it 's a good opportunity to try one of those tropical juice drinks you 've been wondering about. Be sure to treat yourself to a tour of their shop full of artisanal local wares. Unique, locally crafted wood art, paintings, and jewelry and other surprises abound. Be sure to pop in and experience true Hawaiian 'Grindz ' at Keoki 's.

We where excited to try this place under new management! I thought this was a pretty cool looking place! I loved the decorations when we walked in! The food smelled great and I was hopeful that we had made the right decision to stop here and eat, instead of going home and cooking! So we had an issue that prompted us to have to leave the restaurant! It had nothing to do with the food, and at this point is not important to mention! What is important is that the management reached out to rectify this situation!!! THIS IS GOOD BUSINESS! This is way they deserve five stars! So…..if you ever have a situation of any kind at this establishment, reach out to the management, they will do their best to make it right! I worked with Diane, she was very cool, compassionate, understanding, and very easy to work with! I’ve heard great things about this place, so I was very happy to find out that they handle business properly! I am excited to try the food that I have Heard so many good things about, soon!

We both ordered the beer battered ono fish and chips, one with pineapple slaw and one with fries. Everything was so fresh and well made. The beer batter was flavorful and crispy. The spicy sauce was awesome as well. We also appreciated the covered outdoor seating area. Dee was so friendly and kind. She made us feel right at home and didn’t rush us at all. We also enjoyed the gentleman performing guitar and singing for us live! We will definitely be back!
