This is one of our favorite restaurants in Capracotta the Chef is the owner and his wife runs the Front of House they are delightful and nothing is ever too much trouble. The cooking is fabulous and we have never been disappointed. if you are a truffle lover this is the place! They are so generous with the amount of truffles that they serve and each dish is imaginative and very tasty. We never tire of eating here and would suggest booking a table as they get very busy.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Capracotta. A slightly modern twist traditional food Molisana, the cold cuts, the pasta, the carpaccio was all amazing. The service was attentive and they were very knowledgable about local wines. The interior is that of a basement made out of stones and has quite a history related to WWII... Winter hours are limited but it was well worth it.

Franca and Michele have been in the business for a long time , L'Elfo is a lovely traditional restaurant in Capracotta. One of the best Tagliolini with Truffles...the whole range depending from the season and even when only the black one is available the tagliolini are still delicious , pasta, meat, appetizers are all good and the wine and beer choices are very interesting and well priced. A place definitely to go to on a regular basis all year round !

This restaurant is located in Capracotta not Isernia. Gave a look at its website . The decor is a bit freaky but the food is absolutely wonderful. The food here is typical of Molise and Abruzzo. Try to arrive at sunset the views through the valley of Agnone are amazing . We had Chicoria with chilli and fantastic local wine. Capracotta (literal meaning Cooked Goat) is famous for cheese and wonderful mountain lamb , make sure to try both. The lamb will be tough but the favour is out of this world , Try as the locals eat it simply grilled with a few wedges of lemon to squeeze over it . Worth the drive if you are not local
