A wonderful experience as always. Take the funicular down and enjoy a relaxing stroll up through the rain forest after dinner. Cocktails are always on point! The menu is varied and the sauces always put each dish over the top. Celiac dining is very easy here between the clearly marked menus and helpful wait staff who ask the chefs about alternatives and accommodations to make sure your food is gluten-free. Like dinin... What Nestor Ortega dislikes about Shadowbrook Restaurant:
The views were great and the servers were wonderful, but the issue was a very long wait time from ordering are food to actually getting it. We waited for about 2 hours. I dont know about you folks standards but in my opinion this was unacceptable View all feedback.

My family and I am have been there before. It was before COVID, food was exquisite. However this last trip We were extremely disappointed. The fish was dry and the veggies had no flavor. My cousin ordered a gluten free pasta and it was horrible. It was mushy and they put no effort on the sauce. They offered a free desert instead of removing out of the check the messed up dishes. When I go to a place like this, not only because the reputation, also because the high price, I expect excellent. Definitely we didn’t get it this time.

Go early to walk the grounds. You can take the path or the cable car . It’s beautiful. Food is good. Atmosphere fun.

Loved it. We went to celebrate my niece graduating from high school. Our servers were great the food was great. My sister tells me that we were here years ago when our mother was still alive. Vaguely remember but truly enjoyed our most recent visit.

What a charming and unique garden restaurant! I decided to check it out because it seemed like the most interesting spot in Santa Cruz, and it certainly lived up to that reputation. Established in 1947, the fantastic bartender has been working there for 18 years! I enjoyed wild boar ribs along with a glass of wine, and for dessert, the bread pudding topped with berries and whipped cream was delicious. I also had a wonderful conversation with an amazing woman and her two daughters at the bar. Plus, I enjoyed riding the tram elevator and sharing my experience on Instagram stories!

A very romantic vibe very close to downtown Capitola. Very eclectic interior, multilevel building on Soquel Creek. Surrounded by gardens and live plants inside. Certainly the highlight and why it 's a destination. Service was good, at the are you doing ok , do you want anything else level. Good was just average, and did not meet up to the expectations. Calamari was meh , pasta overcooked with seafood linguine, drinks good but didn 't really standout. Salad overdressed and tasted more out of a bottle than chef quality. The vibe here certainly is the star of show, now I want the food to match.
