Spar - Cape Town

We LOVE this shop. They stock all of our favourite products Utopia cheese, Fry's Chicken burgers, Pesto Princess dairy free basil pesto, organic tofu, silken tofu, vegan yoghurt, vegan ice cream, vegan bacon and even vegan friendly soaps and shampoos and conditioners. This is the go to shop for vegans in Cape Town. They are also always getting in new vegan products and so it is always nice to walk through the vegan and health sections to find new things to try :

I have been stuck in Cape Town for months due to Covid, but recently moved to Bantry Bay and was pleasantly surprised to find a health food section at the back of a supermarket. I believe it is better than any other health food stores I have visited in Cape Town. To find it, go to the store, turn left, sanitize your hands, and go straight back. There is a large (for Cape Town) chilled section with fauxmage and other delicious vegan cheeses. They also sell my other favorite Cape Town discovery: Wazoogles. Enjoy, but be cautious as some items in the freezers are not vegan or vegetarian.

I frequently visit Spar for their Beyond Meat Burger, which never fails to impress, paired with a beer from Spar Tops located next door. The courtyard is a great spot to enjoy your meal and drink, especially when seated in the relaxed savings area. Just remember to bring your own bottle opener!

The vegan options at Spar in Seapoint are incredible. They have a wide variety of vegan cheese, milk, meat substitutes, and more. I highly recommend this restaurant for all the vegans in Cape Town.
