OBI offers an authentic taste of Japanese cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. While many dishes, like the tonkotsu ramen and agedashi tofu, delight with fresh ingredients and rich flavors, experiences can vary with service quality. The decor is simple yet engaging, featuring vibrant kimonos and dynamic lighting. Guests appreciate the value for money, especially in lunch specials, showcasing a diverse vegetarian menu. However, some have voiced concerns over specific service interactions and the sushi's cucumber ratio. Overall, it remains a charming spot for both locals and visitors craving delicious Japanese fare.

The kaiseki menu is ideal for sharing, making it a great choice for a romantic evening. The sushi is incredibly authentic, featuring fresh tuna and sea bream, with the nigiri perfectly covering the rice beneath. A standout dish was the matcha ice cream and coconut panna cotta, which were simply delightful. We also tried the Shiogun reel, which was the best-tasting sushi I've had in months. I would definitely return! View all feedback.

What MC V dislikes about Obi:
The atmosphere is standard, but it's a nice place to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. The flavor of the sushi rice is a bit too mild for my taste; I could hardly discern any vinegar flavor (just my personal opinion). The ingredients are fresh, though. I hope to see even more delicious dishes in the future. View all feedback.

Intimate place with an attentive owner (Papa San). The tempura udon was a bit too sweet for my taste. Great choice of quality sushi. Not at all you can eat place

Had a delicious vegetarian dinner here. We tried edamame beans and agedashi tofu to start. Edamame tastes pretty much the same everywhere else, but the tofu was excellent. Normally people associate tofu with being bland, but this was something else. The tofu was fried and comes served in a flavorful broth. I also had the Udon noodles, which was amazing. I didn 't have udon noodles before (they are like very thick noodles) but I became an instant fan. So many wonderful flavors. Very fresh ingredients. I had to try out the coconut panna cotta and matcha green tea ice cream to finish things off. Matcha still isn 't my cup of tea (pun intended), and the portion size was a little on the small size, but it still tasted lovely and 'different ' overall. Will definitely be back to try out their sushi!

Amazing service and food! I really have nothing bad to say about this place. Cosy place that's not pretentious. Papa San is also friendly and seems to enjoy people enjoying his food.

The starters were quite intriguing. The sushi rice was still warm but didn't hold together very well. The fish was fresh and expertly prepared. However, I was puzzled by the avocado nigiri.
