What Karley Quigley doesn't like about Port Cape Girardeau:
Staff was very friendly and competent. Muffuletta was made with a Chabatta and the meat seemed old...the Gardianara was actually just Kalamatta and green olives cut in half...the Reuben on the other hand was good and the kraft may have even been house made...hand cut fries were tasty but wilty. Not enough wow to warrant another visit View all feedback. What david parry likes about Port Cape Girardeau:
Looking for real BBQ found it!. We walked the streets of Old Cape Girardeau looking for real BBQ and had about given up until we turned off to a side street and discovered the Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant. You can almost feel the old steam paddle wheeler crews hanging out here. Doc 's dry rub BBQ was perfect. When our son, a BBQ expert, saw a picture of the 'smokering ' in the meat he was envious. read morePort Cape BBQ offers a mixed dining experience for visitors. While some guests found the staff to be friendly and competent, others were disappointed with the service. The food received a range of reviews, with some dishes like the Reuben sandwich and beef brisket sandwich with pimento cheese spread receiving high praise, while others found the ribs and brisket to be dry and unappetizing. The atmosphere of the old building by the Mississippi river seemed to be a highlight for many, with delicious ribs, smoked sausage, and grilled asparagus being standout dishes. Despite mixed reviews, Port Cape BBQ seems to be a unique spot worth trying out, especially for those passing through the area.
The Best place to eat and drink in Cape Girardeau Friendly service and good food and drinks!
Had the shrimp and grits and pork belly burnt ends, both excellent.
Had lunch with our daughter after cycling the trail. Enjoyed the food. Great service. Was one of the few places open on a Monday.
Amazing barbecue and Brittney is the bomb! Don’t forget to try the rolls with strawberry butter!
