My stay at this property unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The room we were given was not adequately clean – there were squashed mosquitoes on the walls and ceiling, which was very unpleasant. The breakfasts, for which we paid 12 euros per person, were very meager. Contrary to what we expected, we had to share a single avocado with other guests. On the last day, we chose not to have breakfast at all because it was simply not worth it. The photos in the listing unfortunately do not reflect reality. There was visible mold in the shower, and the entire room was worn out and damp. The rooms have long passed their prime, and a few small improvements would be enough to restore a comfortable atmosphere and appearance. Additionally, the host threatened to tow our vehicle, despite the fact that in the evening, a car with German license plates was allowed to park without issue. When we raised our concerns, instead of addressing them, the host reported us to Airbnb with a false claim that we were being noisy, even though we weren’t even at the property at the time. After explaining the situation, Airbnb apologized to us for the unjust accusation, but the host’s unprofessional and rude behavior clearly showed that she was trying to cause trouble for us. After leaving our review, the host threatened us with legal action and even started sending harassing messages to our private phone number the day after we returned home, because Airbnb sided with us, acknowledging the evidence we provided in the form of photos. It’s clear that the host cannot handle constructive criticism or the truth, and anyone who dares to point out issues is met with hostility. The WiFi in the room didn’t work, which further contributed to our negative experience. I definitely do not recommend this place, and I hope other guests have a better experience than we did.
First of all everyone there is very friendly, rooms are clean and made with love. Breakfast was fantastic and location is great. Anytime!
Cannot beat the view or location. We had a very relaxed 5 nights at the hotel, with delicious breakfast by Volker and great communication by Simone. We booked direct and all was great. Thanks Volker for the amazing recommendations!

From the well thought-out and beautifully designed ambience of the restaurant, to the warm and competent waitress with perfect timing, to the incredible food, which was a pleasure in every respect, this visit was an experience of our vacation. Local eatery with friendly service and the freshest fish prepared simply with vegetables and risotto. There is no beach view, but the delicious food and happy, genuine staff more than make up for it. This is a hidden gem.
This place is friendly, friendly, friendly. Our waitress was a German national who has lived locally for 35 years who spoke great English, perfect Spanish, German… naturally and some French. She was a jewel who made our visit a delight. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt most welcome. We ate some mixed tapas to start, some delicious, some OK, but all good. We both had roasted Seabass for our mains, washed down with a litre of Cava sangria. The fish was perfectly cooked and large! We did not stop for desserts but I am sure they would have been tasty. An excellent experience and great value.
After our first visit, we were sold. Before coming here, we had experienced some of the other local restaurants and this was on a whole other level. Okay, so you don’t get the ocean view, but it’s so worth it when you taste the food. We had the tapas, filet of beef, grilled fish, lasagna, and shrimp pasta. We are picky eaters from Norway, so let me say you that all these dishes had us impressed the host is also so kind, and remembers all your wishes the next night as well. Best food, sangria, and service in this gorgeous little town
A superb cafe stop right on the beach at Canyamel. Great service and wonderful milkshakes. Clean toilets and helpful staff.
Relaxing and friendly spot for fab food. Some of the items on the menu have already run out when we ordered but the ones left were still beautifully cooked. We had lamb shoulder and sole! And great service from the smily happy host as well. Will definitely come again! Definitely a good restaurant. Come and visit when you are here. The mousse could be cooler but we demolished them in no time! I would rate the restaurant between 4-4.5/5.
