We arrived at around 9pm on a Wednesday and had to wait a... read more We were staying nearby and I'd looked up La Conca on Tripadvisor as a restaurant to visit in the area. We arrived at around 9pm on a Wednesday and had to wait around 10mins for a table. The place seemed to be packed with locals and had a really great atmosphere and vibe to it. As 3 English and 1 South African our Italian is very limited but our waitress was amazing. She helped us work out what dishes we wanted and was extremely patient and took the time to translate for us. She really made us feel welcome and was really friendly, smiley and generally excellent at her job. The food was very, very good. We'd slowly become obsessed with Burrata throughout our stay in Tuscany and the starter here is really delicious. Three of our party had pizzas which were all excellent and I had the T-bone steak which was nice, although a little fatty for me. I've realised I much prefer other cuts of steak! The bill was fairly reasonable the steak was 30 euros but it was a HUGE hunk of beef. Pizzas were around 8-10 euros. We had a lovely bottle of house red wine too. I think the overall bill came to around 80 euros. Great local restaurant and I was very glad we visited!
