The atmosphere was sublime and the owner was extremely welcoming making sure that each guest was personally attended to! His menu corresponds with the fresh fish that is caught daily! Along with our requested order he brought us a sample of fresh olive oil that was made from his personal olive grove that had been in his family for generations. The aroma and flavor was tantalizing! We highly recommend this restaurant!

The f... read more We had a dinner today (last day of our stay in Sicily) in Torre Alta. I choose the fish soup and my wife a fish mix with a small salate and baked potatos. The food was excellent. The fish soup is just a heaven in the mounth. If you really want to try a best fish soup ever I highly recomend this place.

The first meal we had was incredible, amazing wine and fresh seafood which is why we planned to go again the same week. However we were left thoroughly disappointed after our second visit as the wine was awful (we left half a carafe as it was that bad) and the service was not as good as our first visit. Must say the decor is lovely and it felt very up market which we really enjoyed.

We were starving and wanted something within walking distance, even pizza, and we knew it was early to eat by local standards. We did not expect to find such a wonderful, typically Sicilian, place. The atmosphere was perfect and the chef, John (Giovani), chatted with us at length about the history of the restaurant. He explained the food in great detail, including a lovely wine, and the whole experience was a perfect start to our holiday on the west coast of Sicily. We had the seafood fettucine and he showed us the freshly caught shrimps and scampi. We ended up eating there 3 times and the pizza was just as amazing! Highly recommended.
