Hello everyone. I want to begin by saying that I am a fan of seafood. The restaurant was wonderful. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very busy so we understand. It's not a complaint, just an observation. The sunset view was absolutely stunning. It was the perfect ending to our trip.
We ate dinner here 3 times during our stay in Cap-Chat. It's the only place to eat for miles around. It was always very full, so I would recommend making a reservation. Food and drink selection is okay. Atmosphere is nice.
What a great little tourist restaurant right on the main drag in Cap Chat. We had just eaten and were out for a bike ride and ran across this neat place. We decided to stop for ice cream as there is a creamery attached. Pleasantly 2 young teenage girls served us. They could speak little English and I could speak little French but there bubbly personalities did not stop them from making sure we had a best experience and great ice cream on top of that. Koodoo's to those 2 girls!! Great customer service! As for the rest of the restaurant, we wish we were not so full. As we walked through the restaurant to benches outside behind the building also on the water, there was great food and a great atmosphere in the building. We were sorry we never got to try this place out for thier food, but what a great experience.
We stopped by this restaurant without any prior knowledge and we were impressed. It is a casual atmosphere, wait staff is young and enthusiast, they welcomed us warmly. The room is bright and comfortable. The food is delicious, fresh shrimps salad was perfect and fish of the day was well prepared, local beer is a must! We ended our meal by stepping out to the creamerie where I had the best soft ice cream cone ever, move over Dairy Queen, this was creamy and delicious. I might have to go back to Valmont just to get that ice cream again!
We went for dinner last Monday as we were staying at the chalets. The food was average, with the salmon from the set menu being unremarkable. However, the entree différente was excellent. The next morning, we had a quick breakfast as it was the only option available in the area. The warm and delicious scones were a standout. The staff were great and the people were friendly.
