Fat Boy's Bbq - Canyon

The BBQ here is quite decent. I tried the brisket, which was well smoked and tender. I believe it was a 4-ounce portion for $16, and the beans were enjoyable. However, I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw; I prefer it sweeter, and this one didn't meet that preference. My son ordered the brisket nachos for $19, which came topped with chips, beans, and cheese. He thought it was really good. This place is popular and tends to sell out early in the day.

Everything was delicious! I had the Hank Special, which featured excellent brisket, spicy sausage, and barbecue sauce. The bungalow was fantastic as well. I was really impressed with the food overall. However, the older gentleman behind the counter wasn't very friendly and seemed to have difficulty hearing.

Kidnapped in fat boys. Potato salad tastes like mustard, Brisket is dry and tastes pampered and the staff are from hell. I will not come back because of the rude employees and evil food.

I had the chopped brisket baked potato, which came with cheese, sour cream, and BBQ sauce. However, it was missing the sour cream. The potato was tender, though slightly firmer than I would have liked, but still tasty. The meat wasn't as tender as I prefer and could have used a bit more sauce. I noticed some bugs around, which was concerning. I understand it was 45 minutes until closing, but there was still a customer in the dining room, and they should have been doing their cleaning up when there were still diners present. The place could use a little more cleanliness overall. Despite these issues, I can still vouch for the quality of the food.

I used to eat here almost daily about 14 years ago, but man has this place gone downhill. We walked in, the two staff behind the counter did NOT greet us, or acknowledge us, in any way. One of them just stared blankly, never saying a single word. When we inquired about an item on the menu, she still wouldn't even talk to us and just nodded. No smile, no nothing, just a blank nod. Last time we ate there about 6 months ago, the pulled pork was dry, bland, and pretty terrible anyway, but we wanted to give them another chance, but after not even being greeted, smiled at or spoken to, we left. That is NOT good customer service at all. We left and went across to subway.
