From the moment I called to make a reservation until the bill was paid... read more We decided to try this restaurant for a Valentine's Day dinner and we are so glad we did. From the moment I called to make a reservation until the bill was paid, it was a great experience. Robin, the owner, took our reservation and was warm and friendly. When we arrived, our server Dixie greeted us with the same warmth and friendliness, and she did not give us misleading recommendations. We had a hard time choosing between the prix fixe menu and the Friday evening specials, but ultimately decided on items from the regular menu. My partner had the country fried steak with potatoes, and I had the grilled fish with fries. We also tried the shrimp appetizer sampler, which was delicious. The chef, Liz, even came out to check on our table and make sure we were satisfied. We were also impressed by our bartender, Alice, who was friendly and attentive. They even offered us Valentine's Day desserts, but we were too full. Overall, it was a 5-star experience from start to finish.
