The service... read more I haven't been to Applebee's in a very long time. My mother and I went there and we had a really nice dinner. My chicken and shrimp were delicious. The service was really great. Our waitress was new and in training. She was sweet and polite as washer trainer. We will be back.

It’s a huge chain, and relatively i... read more My experience was very disappointing. The food itself…well, it’s mostly just frozen products, I think that’s pretty obvious. It’s a huge chain, and relatively inexpensive, so no real surprise there. My server, while very kind, just wasn’t avery strong server. As a server myself, I feel like I’m usually pretty understanding. It was not a busy evening, and therewere perhaps 6 tables worth of people throughout the entire restaurant. I would venture to guess that there were approximatelythat many servers in the floor at that time, based on what I could see. My server appeared to have two tables, my table and oneother. She didn’t pre-bus the table as she went. She let me sit without anything to drink for at least 10 minutes, and I hadto ask twice before I actually got my refill. Once we were done, all the plates were stacked at the end of the table, and wejust had to wait until she finally came back. She appeared to have disappeared into the back, but I don’t know for sure whatshe was doing. I’d like to point out, also, that this team of servers don’t know how to work as a team. In the restaurant Iwork at, no fellow coworker would walk past a table with customers with empty drinks. I can’t tell you how many servers cameand went past us, but no one offered to refill them. All of that aside, I just wanted to pay and leave. We had somewhere to be.I was willing to just overlook it all, chalk it up as a bad experience and leave it at that. My bill was $28.61-ish after tax.Despite my bad experience, I still tipped 20%, because I’m a server too and I get it. This is easily the worst tip I’ve everleft, and I don’t have the heart to stiff someone, so I still tipped 20% despite my bad experience. I gave her $34 and toldher to keep the change (making it’s approximately $5.40-ish, give or take a few pennies). This is where I draw the line, andwill never come back. The server preceded to the bar to, I presume, openly express her discontent with my tip to the bartender.

My previous experience wasn't very go... read more I was genuinely impressed by my recent visit to Applebee's, especially since it's been over a year since I last ate there. My previous experience wasn't very good, but this time the dinner was fantastic, and I particularly enjoyed the double crunch wings! A big shoutout to the team for a great meal.
