What User doesn't like about Three Tuns:
decided to eat here as a 20% discount with AA membership. service was good, but they would run out of some of the meals, so had to have alternatives that were not the best View all feedback.
Sitting here right now listening to locals poke fun at each other. The pints are fairly cheap and it is warm in here. Nice joint. EDIT: passed thru going the other direction. Good inexpensive food too. A good place to visit
Popped into this lovely Greene King pub, great prices as one would expect, Smiley approach from Barman, a locals pub who all were meeting for Sunday lunch, we were made to feel welcome, will come back when in Canterbury again
THE GREEN KING PUB IN CANTERBURY The service was good. The food; a great pub meal for seniors £5.49 for an appie I had chicken strips but there were several choices) and a main I had the fish and chips with mushy peas). Friendly, personal and authentic English pub. Of course there was a Guinness to accompany it This was really a good meal for a great price. If you are in the area; check it out. Ask for JP, Amy and thank Mike for good excellent culinary skills.
Yummy! I had a great British pub meal here... a slice of meat pie, mash and veg. Plenty of rich filling in the pie and perfectly cooked vegetables. The Gravy was just as moreish! If you're looking for a decent meal, without needing something fancy, head for The Three Tuns. A great little historic pub in the heart of Canterbury. Thanks team.
I am disappointed to only give this pub 2 stars because I do enjoy it, but the lack of staff really affected our experience last night. We waited over an hour for our food and had to remind the bar staff about our order that was placed through the app. This happened at just 6pm on a Thursday night. When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing, especially the Mac n Cheese which was bland and barely touched. I understand that there was only one chef working (and the delay was communicated by the bar staff), but larger pub chains need to improve their service.
