My wife and I went again last week. Wow, really wow! Mickey and her husband delivered dishes that were truly incredible. We both agreed that if we were paying $160 per head for this meal in the city we would still have been happy. We have only ever asked for a set menu set by the owners. Food was good not great. But it was the arrival that put me off. Restaurant was empty and felt that we were bothering her to be there. The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. The Japanese dishes are authentic and cooked by a very talented Japanese chef. I highly recommend trying the karaage chicken, green tea noodle salad, miso dengaku eggplant, and chanko nabe - they are all absolutely amazing! As a resident of Sydney, I feel fortunate to have restaurants like this one in the city.
The tonkotsu ramen was definitely worth the wait. The bento box was a very generous portion. The food was delicious! We will definitely return!
The food at this restaurant was fantastic and reminded me of my time in Japan. The tonkotsu ramen was extraordinary, just like I remembered it from my trip. The sushi had fresh fish and perfectly cooked rice. The takoyaki was delicious, especially when paired with a tasty Japanese salad. I will definitely be a regular at this place.
Walked in off the street at 8pm on a Saturday night without a reservation. Were seated promptly and quickly ducked away to the bottle shop next door. Enjoyed a fabulous meal. The place was rocking and had a great vibe.
It's small but really good Japanese bistro. You must make booking and wait patiently to get great food experience.
