I recently spent a week in Cannes with my boyfriend. We found this restaurant which is down a lovely little street and is what I always imaged a French restaurant to be like. The staff here are wonderful, very attentive and helpful. There is a great atmosphere and the food is exceptional ! My boyfriend had the guinea fowl which was stunning. I ate at several restaurants in my time in Cannes and this was by far the best ! 100% recommend.
Resently my husband and I visited Cannes while celebrating our wedding anniversary and we visited many restaurants. By chance we came across restaurant "Le Beret". The food, service and ambience were outstanding - a credit to the young chef who came out to speak to us. Absolutely first class and worth every cent. Pity we didn't find it earlier.

This casual wine bistrot, just recently opened, is a great place to enjoy a great glass of (organic) wine and relax after a day at work or at the beach. The crowd was young to middle-aged and service was friendly and easy-going. Our initial plan was just to have a glass of wine but we were comfortable and happy so decided to stay a little longer and order some food. We did not have great expectations but the food turned out to be wonderful (not on the very cheap side but really worth it!). The creamy polenta with scallops was delicious and the dessert, a duo of mango and pineapple with vanilla ice cream, was perfect for a warm sunny day. Bread was great too and nice bread matters! The tables next to us had just ordered a plate of cold cuts and cheese and these looked great too. We sat on the high stools on the sidewalk and enjoyed time go by slowly. The menu changes weekly and I will definitely go back to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and to try a different dish soon.
My family and I went to Cannes for two weeks and within those two weeks we tried multiple restaurants but none of them came close to the this little gem we found! We started off with one of their signature cocktails which was made by the lovely angel, then we decided to order some tapas which turned out to be the most delicious tapas we have ever tried!! As one of our parties was alergic to fish the chef benjamin came out to us and proposed to us their Bruchetta(unbelievably good) baked Saint felicien cheese, and a platter of cold cut meat! The chef stayed and spoke to us a little and explained he gets all of his products from the local market, which i thought was great!! The professional nicolas then offered to make us his version of a mojito and it was just delicious! I cant wait to come to back to cannes so i can experience this place again!!
