Come here for some authentic Vietnamese dishes that you cannot find in some other Vietnamese restaurants. My favourite were the cockles and betel leaf beef. Both were juicy and delicious! I also enjoyed the chicken with sticky rice. View all feedback.
What Cristina Dietrich doesn't like about Hai Au Lang Nuong:
Went there with my wife and some friends. Had a very traditional Vietnamese feel smell the whole works about it as if in Vietnam. Food was ok but I felt a tad expensive for Vietnamese food. We did have lobster which took up half the bill. My wife enjoyed it so I suppose that’s the main thing View all feedback.
The food was fantastic. I had 2 records of XO-Pippies, my parents had the Silver Perch Steamboat. The flavors were all there. It's best to come to dinner at 5:00 to beat the rush.
Fantastic Vietnamese cuisine, great service, family-friendly with a unique decor. We had a big group.
We were outside and it was almost like the street markets in Hi Chi Minh. Service was fast and food very delicious. On the bottom, our Scallop Entre was the last dish and the removal containers are not free. A visit for food and atmosphere.
We recently went to Hai Au for a birthday dinner and were very disappointed. Sloppy service, over price, Bland and under seasoned dishes. We had a total of 9 dishes, but only 3 dishes were perfect. They calculated us $20 for BYO, but did not deliver ice, glassware or service (just we bought our own paper cups) . We ordered an additional jug with soda water, but after 40 minutes a memory was needed. When they finally arrived, they gave us a bottle of soda water. That's right a supermarket bottle that would normally cost $1, we swallowed $10 for the privilege. Luke warm they didn't even bother to pour into a jug. The food service itself was chaotic and in the array. The beef bowl arrived 30 minutes before the accompaniment, the steamed fish arrived well before the rice. To finish the night, they gave us $58. Best, but completely avoid if you want a nice evening.
We had dinner with friends at the Hai Au Lang Nuong Restaurant and it was just like stepping into a Vietnamese eatery in Vietnam; the noise, the smells, the people, the atmosphere was just like being in south east Asia. But apart from that the food was fresh and tasty; we had the pork and beef rice paper rolls, others ordered various other dishes but all the food was tasty, and it was also lots of fun rolling your own rice paper rolls. Overall a nice experience; would I go back, yep, absolutely. Great south east Asian vibe and nice fresh food. Well done Hai Au Lang Nuong.
