Doc Brown's Bbq - Candler

We just ate here for the first time and we are in love!! The bbq is wonderful and the sides are to die for. The sweet potato souffle is just like grandma makes The bbq has the best taste of any we have ever had. So happy to have a great place to eat in Candler. Best part was when Doc Brown sat down with us and had a great heart to heart talk. Felt like Home . We will be back for the ribs!

Being from middle of NC I usually judge a BBQ place on their pork first, and Doc Brown's is certainly the best I've personally had around Asheville. Collards were pretty good as well. Cornbread was on the sweet side, but tasted good depends on your personal preference. Would highly recommend stopping by to give it a try.

Who knew they had BBQ Tempeh??!!! I loved Doc 's as a meat eater, and I enjoy it just as much, now, as a vegetarian! I sent my foodie brother in law for a bite while he visited Asheville and he is RARELY impressed. He couldn 't stop raving about the knowledgability of the staff and the amazing food. The Mac&Cheese might just melt your heart, and its almost as inviting and comforting as the service. I really can 't say enough. Thanks for bringing another awesome spot to dine to Candler!!

The food was fantastic and all the staff members were great. We came from out of town and if I am ever in town again you can be sure I will be stopping by! To anyone who is curious, I recommend the Pulled Pork sandwich. It was fantastic!

Best ribs I've found in WNC! All of the food is made fresh daily and each dish is a homemade family recipe. Great place to get some BBQ and while you're at it chat up Doc himself!
