Some of the other tripadvisors followed and decided to meet mercado 23 before mercado 28. grungy, decided locally but grittyly true, with this small gemstone of a ice cream fucked away in the back of the sockets. we had a delicious kewitsche, simple fish tacos, chicken...Mol and chickenspokkolade. incredibly delicious and reasonable at about $5/Head! the best.

Language was a bit of a barrier however what we ordered and used the photos off the menu was very pleasant. For 110 pesos for two it was very reasonable. Good spot to watch the market working.

We came to market 23 to get some great products and decided to eat a bite in doris. many choose from for authentic Mexican cuisine. my daughter had pancakes and loved them. everything we had was great. they don't serve any alcohol, but let me buy it somewhere else and drink with me.

We decided to eat in the restaurant doris for lunch while we went on Sunday afternoon through the market 123. when we came by, I turned to my younger daughter and said that eating really smells good! plastic chairs, tablecloths made of plastic - no place if they are looking for ambiente! but we were interested in eating. our two adult daughters speak fluent Spanish, which is good at the market 123. during our visit we did not see any other tourist there. we started with the free chips and sauce (picky! and then the guacamole, the best we had on our trip. I ordered the sopa de mariscos. beautiful broth, though a bit salty, and a great selection of fish. very good! I asked about the sizes for the ceviche, so our server brought out three containers. then I ordered a big one. that is absolutely delicious, huge....and only $12 usd. my daughter shared some of them when they waited for her, and I had enough left for lunch the next day! my man got the big mixed kewitsche and also had enough for lunch the next day. both daughters had a chicken dish. my older daughter didn't care about her chicken-molch, the more because she waited and waited until her court came out long after all our others. in this way the service was error-free; we were wondering where he was. for the equivalent of $37 usd including drinking money ate four adult, which was really a dinner, not lunch. great worth, and we felt that we eat real Mexican food, not the expensive fake tourist stuff.
