We ordered a dish each with a combination of meat, it was cooked to perfection and the spices used were delicious. Before our meal we were given complimentary bread and dips, we have since been back and recieved different complimentary snacks. The menu is well priced but equally it feels like a great dining experience. Will be back again and again! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pide House:
If you want atmospheric, witty and solicitous service, go elsewhere. This is a focused restaurant, and the staff are intent on delivering your food. Good food it is, too. Usually we take home some pizza pide and more fabulous beetroot dip. View all feedback.
I could never complain about the food here but staff that 's another story. Our waitress was rude and disrespectful. She insisted we had to order more mains as we had a table for six even though 2 were children!! She didn 't smile once and as it was my birthday my son ordered a sweets dish with a candle which was slammed down on the table as she walked away. No plates no cutlery as this was all taken before we has even finished eating. Left with not a good feeling. Staff need training desperately before I would rate over 1 star. So disappointing
The worst steak I ever had. My partner can eat anything but even he could not chew up this one. I have been there only once for 80th celebration and never again.
We booked thank goodness, really popular restaurant and you can see why. Service and food was wonderful really broad selection of food to cater to for everyone one. Definitely go again
We go regularly and are managed to be fitted in (somehow) without a reservation. Because the place is usually full and bustling, the staff are harried and virtually running. They just don 't have time for the niceties that others here seem to have been expecting. We did have a reservation early on Saturday night. Its popularity was indicated by the very large party sitting outside (under cover, with heaters) on a very cold Canberra night. For the first time I tried what is simply called Ephesus , which is a slow cooked lamb shoulder served with saffron risotto lamb semi glaze. It was magnificent, with pieces of the lamb melting off and just about melting in my mouth. Quite simply the best I have ever had and more than enough in the single serving.
We recently celebrated a family gathering at this restaurant. With a group of 10, we opted for the $40 banquet and were pleased with the generous and beautifully presented dishes. The chicken and lamb dishes stood out as particularly delicious. We all enjoyed the meal, especially appreciating the reasonable price and the convenience of not having to individually select dishes for each person.
