Went here on friday night. Got a really good feed of fish and chips. We had flathead not flathead tails, flathead. It was huge. Crispy and fresh. Potato cakes (or scallops as they call them in this neck of the woods) were good. Made a hog of myself and ordered a cheeseburger as well. It was tasty. No complaints here. We will be back. BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN CANBERRA to date.

Catch is a trendy fish and chips shop in Braddon. The fish and chips serving that I had was huge and could have easily fed 2 people. It was $15 for the fish and chips and you can choose from chips or salad. I also had some oysters kilpatrick and they were fresh and creamy. They have chicken salt shakers on the table which I absolutely love! It's a great spot for some fresh or cooked seafood or some burgers. You could sit in the outdoor space of grab it to go and sit in the park or by the lake.

We dined at 'Grease Monkey' yesterday, so we decided to try 'Catch' today. The restaurant was well-lit and spacious, with both takeaway and dining options available. The music created a great atmosphere, and it was a family- and pet-friendly place. The fish and chips were crispy and delicious, while the fish burger was hearty and well-constructed. Each table had a shaker of regular and chicken salt, along with malt vinegar, which made for a nice complimentary addition to each dish. Great job, and everything was delicious!

The interior of the restaurant is quite charming, with a romantic playlist playing in the background, which made for a lovely atmosphere. It did feel a bit odd to be having fresh fish and chips so far from the beach, but overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would say the portion size was slightly smaller than what you’d typically expect for fish and chips, but it’s a great addition to the variety of dining options in Canberra. Plus, you have the option to swap the chips for either a Greek salad or Asian slaw, which is a nice touch.
