We saw an ad picturing an amazing looking lemon merengue pie, my favorite, so we went to this restaurant. It's definitely a place frequented by locals, complete with knotty pine walls right out of my childhood. We were very pleased with the food, the service, the quaint ambiance, and the prices. Worse Service EVER. Oh wait no service I should say... No hello a smile, and or be right with you, I had to get my own menus, and sat there for about 8 mins before deciding to get up and leave. There were only two tables of people in there. Not to mention it was a disgusting atmosphere with flys everywhere... View all feedback.

I had an excellent taco salad and my husband had the "small portion" liver (yes, he loves that) dinner which was very generous, and we had the lemon pie and strawberry rhubarb pie -- just two of several choices - -for dessert. It was terrific. We would definitely return.
We were on a road trip on a Sunday morning, and everything in Canal Flats is closed. If it wasn't for my GPS we would not even have known this place exists. (Thank you, Garmin!)Unpretentious roadside diner, but food is freshly prepared. My omelette was excellent, one of the best I've had in years. So glad we discovered this one.
Stopped for lunch on a long journey across British Columbia. We had been looking for a traditional road side restaurant that wasn't a chain, and we found a great one! Good, friendly, prompt service which delivered massive lunches that well and truly hit the spot. Don't plan on having a big dinner after eating here!
The restaurant offers great food, attentive service, and well-maintained restrooms. Don't miss out on their mouthwatering homemade cinnamon buns and butter tarts.
This restaurant was recommended to me and I decided to give it a try. I ended up going back several times because I enjoyed it so much. The best way to sum up this place is that the portions are plentiful.
