I met the new owner other day I can tell he is the down to earth guy. He is working very hard to keep this bar's standard high. Some stubborn locals have problem.I can see in the past comments. We ordered quite simple dishes and they were dreadfully executed. The stirring frit was basically a bowl of soup with unnecessary amount of sauce and completely lacked in vegetables. Definitely a local favorite! This is a great pub in a small resort town, perfect for a casual visit. The bar food was satisfying, and we took advantage of Wing Wednesday to try a few of their signature flavors. While I suspect the wings were frozen, they were still a nice complement to the generous pints we enjoyed. I was particularly pleased that they used real cheese curds for their poutine, as many places in the area opt for shredded cheese instead. It was tough for my wife, our eldest daughter, and me to leave this spot. Note that minors are not allowed, making it a perfect escape for parents looking for a brief adult moment while on vacation. The locals and bar staff were very friendly, and the place was clean and comfortable with a charming rustic vibe. It’s a great mix of bikers and bankers enjoying some good beer!
I just had a wonderful time at wing night here. The wings were fantastic, with plenty of options to choose from. Our waitress was new and it was her first night, but she did an incredible job. We chatted with her, and she handled everything like a pro. She was super friendly and really nice. Everyone else we encountered there was great too. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a fun evening and enjoy some delicious food.
I visited this restaurant for lunch on May 10th, and I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service. I ordered the beef dip, and it was packed with meat and came with plenty of fries—truly an excellent meal. The server had a vibrant personality, which added to the experience. I highly recommend this place, and I now know where to dine on my next visit to Fairmont!
Amazing wings and amazing nachos! Best I've had in a long while.
Came up with my Son, waitress was new but still had us covered, probably the best thicker crust carnivore pizza I have had in a long time similar to Coco brooks. Had no beer on special but prices not bad 6.50 domestic beer bottle, can. Had the pouting was average... pizza 28..forget poutine price...but overall great service and found
