It 's one of those places where... read more A hidden gem inside the small city of Campulung Muscel. The only restaurant in the region with a creative yet deeply local menu. It 's one of those places where the food surprises you in a good way, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients in combinations you wouldn 't regularly expect; or with ingredients you have never even heard of before! It 's clear that the people behind Select are passionate about the culinary arts and also have the technical know-how to achieve it. The only negative is that the building itself does not convey this sort of experience, so it does a poor job of attracting new people. But maybe that 's the whole idea, to keep the secret between a Select few?

We h... read more After a long hike, we came to this restaurant without any expectations. We received an appetizer and a visniata, which made a really good impression on us. We have ordered a pumpkin and paprika soup. Both were really tasty, however pumpkin soup just stole our hearts. It reminded a bit ciorba de burta but made of vegetables. For the main dish lamb pastrami, and a vegetarian dish with cheese and herbs (smth like börek). I have to admit that we have visited many Romanian restaurants (in bigger and smaller cities) but what we have experienced in Select was just exceptional. Lamb was just perfect, all the ingredients in our dishes were matching and you can feel that chef knows exactly what he’s doing and has amazing taste. Service was also great! quick, knowledgeable and very nice. This restaurant is worth making extra kilometers, and leaving a good tip ! Plus a genuine interior, where you feel that someone was very attentive to details

I stayed overnight in this city and went looking for dinner, and this place was stunning. The service, complimentary items from the chef, and the food itself were the best combination I have had in Romania! I highly recommend their house-made pickles as a side dish—they were awesome! Everything else was also very delicious and clearly house-made. Service: Dine in
