Had an appointment next door so they were conveniently situated and exactly what we were looking for, a good flat white and a quick breakfast. Had the poached eggs with extra avo and enjoyed it even without the hollandaise I'm used to. They sell bags of bites treats and also had very tempting brownies. View all feedback.
Welcoming atmosphere, a really cool space to escape from the office and get great food. The coffee never disappoints. Friendly staff. Great music. love the salads. A fantastic experience all around.
Great little spot next to the office for daily coffee runs and breakfast. Yaron and team are always chirpy and friendly, proper neighborhood vibe. Whats better than walking into the local coffee shop and asking for 'the usual ' and they know exactly what you want? The Boss bagel (chicken and sriracha mayo) is a must try ask for some extra chilli sauce, thank me later!
This place was amazing during the week and an opposite experience on the weekend. Really disappointed as the coffee was amazing and then lacking all substance. They should also explain that their large flat white is basically a small flat white with a lot more milk and not a big version of a flat white with the same ratios. When I asked if I could have an extra espresso I would've been charged another R16 so I thought it best just to order another coffee. A little better the second time but seems as if the B team work weekends and the standards drop dramatically. Always sad when you have such opposite experiences!
Having been so impressed with the atmosphere, coffee and interior of Hard Pressed before, I decided to pop by again to see if anything new was happening...This time round, I opted for something new on the their menu, which was the Salmon Eggs Benedict on sweet potato. The portion was substantial, the hollandaise was delicious, and the sweet potato was an awesome substitute for an English muffin. Not only that, it seems they have created awesome winter daily specials, including a soup of the day( it happened to be spicy butternut the day I was there) and a daily special. It seems they have also incorporated great Gluten Free sweet treats,so there is definitely domestic by for everyone. Prices are reasonable, portions are substantial and the music is amazing. Really impressed with what's happening here at the moment!
Excellent coffee shop on Bree Street. Came here for a quick coffee and sweet treat as I was early for an appointment. Service was so quick. And BEST BROWNIE in Cape Town it was a fresh baked brownie- chewy, decadent and delicious. So much better than all the frozen Lindt brownies warmed and served with ice-cream. I only regret not taking away another one.
