Great Indian vegetarian food at reasonable prices. I especially enjoy their kofta balls with homemade tomato sauce over it. They are only open Wed-Sat 12-5PM though. View all feedback.
The best paneer I have ever eaten. I was introduced to kofta balls which I have never eaten in other Indian restuarents in South Africa. It is a small Hare Krishna vegetarian cafe.
Super yum vegetarian and vegan food! Found this place kinda by accident and soooo glad we did. Plain and simple decor with a chilled and friendly vibe. Hare Krishna.
Pure Vegetarian with no onion or garlic. But, very delighful delicious. atmosphere is peaceful with lively conversation. location is behind Library
I wasn't in the mood to cook dinner tonight and was hoping that at best, it would make a welcome change and assumed it would probably be a one off. Instead, I am blown away. The depth of flavours, subtle spicing and generous paneer servings set this apart from much of the vegetarian take-away fare. I will be back again as the menu changes every week and I know that I've only scratched the surface. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. Really impressed, knocks the socks off Govinda's Soho, London.
Calling all vegetarians and lovers of wholesome, unfussy, superb-tasting food. This is Rondebosch's best kept secret. I try and visit Govindas weekly. I crave their food. Limited options but then you don't need variety because EVERYTHING tastes yummy. Rice and dhal, spinach and potato, butternut and broccoli, chickpea balls with tomato sauce, rotis, chickpea fudge .... and prices are extremely reasonable.
