Wonderful intimate environment, both the starter (mushrooms in pastry and my main meal of pork belly were out of this world! If I could give this place 6 stars out of 5 I would. Definitely returning.
We had an exceptional meal on 18 December 2014. It was a pre wedding dinner for 13 people. The experience was perfect in every way superb food (lovely menu and well prepared and presented), great ambience, beautiful table and last but not least excellent discrete but attentive service. This is one of my favourite places on the planet. Everything about it makes me happy. The food is so delicious. Classic French made with exceptional quality ingredients. Closest I've come to feeling like I'm in a French bistro in South Africa. The waiter and chef are so welcoming. Always an amazing experience. Cargill's rating on here is wrong. All the reviews are 4.5 or above. Something is sketchy...
A hidden gem in Cape Town. The chef seems to personally ensure every meal is up to standard, and absolutely delicious. Cargill's is a small restaurant with a personal touch. Well worth every cent.
