We were hit with an immediate smell of cigarette smoke, something we had not experienced in years! The decor was very creative and tailored to young children with rooms completely decorated in Candyland and Frozen themes… we did not see other rooms. The server might have been new, his menu knowledge was limited but food was pretty good! This restaurant has been a family favorite since I lived in the area in early 90’s so we keep coming back!
Crazy busy, but it's the week before Xmas so expected. 90 min to 3 hour wait on Saturday, very pretty restaurant though. We did have some drink issues, our water had what looked like mold in the cup and then our Sprite had no syrup. They fixed both, no probs. The chips were DELISH. Fajitas for two were tiny, would order something else.
ONE of my FAVORITE (RESTAURANTS),My FAVORITE parts the CATCHES me is ; I LOVE the ATMOSPHERE.When I walk into the RESTAURANT I walk into my FAVORITE time of the YEAR (CHRISTMAS).It is PRETTY, CALM ,DIM AWSOME with a CUTE TRAIN Rolling down above your head against the WALL all around the RESTAURANT and let me NOT leave out their (COMPLIMENTARY) DELICIOUS TORTILLA CHIPS served with SALSA CHEESE DIP, while you wait on your meal .
Update: we came back last night as I wanted my mom to come here. She can't do any food that is spicy whatsoever. We had the chicken enchiladas and she was as impressed as I was the first time I ate here. These enchiladas are very well flavored but not spicy by themselves. Easily the top 5 chicken enchiladas I've ever had. My wife had a half order of the Mexican pizza and could only finish half of it. The sangria swirl margaritas were great. The place is still decorated for Christmas and the train was still running. A definite favorite of ours now. This was our first time here and we were very impressed! The service was great. Our food was amazing! Very flavorful and delicious! The train was running and all of the decorations were awesome! We can't wait to return.
This is the wall to wall Christmas Mexican restaurant. Most of the suspended decor stays up year round with more added during the season. Food is good standard Tex-Mex. The Margarita was strong and extra frosty. No complaints. The place really deserves a visit during the holiday season at least once.
