This place is an absolute gem. Great look and feel, pretty sure it's NOT owned by Hemes. The food was **** fantastic (we went the specials menu, lamb ragu and curry of the day). Comfortably say this is the best pub food in the Newtown area and there is a lot of competition. Negatives? Well, guys are here watching football but there's no volume and background music is playing instead. Also, menus are behind the bar! You want people to buy food, the food is excellent, make the menus accessible.

The hotel has friendly staff and a nice vibe. It is your typical Aussie pub that has all different kinds of people... Students, professionals, tradespersons, funky ones, tourists, etc. The vibe is positive and nice too and they offer live music sometimes.

Had a delicious steak sandwich and a lovely glass of wine here today for lunch. It's very close to RPA Hospital. Friendly staff. My sister had an eggplant parmigiana and said it was delish. We'd eat there again.

After not coming back for multiple years since uni. Was pleasantly surprised by its beautiful upgrade! Fresh interior and neat little garden it's a very nice venue. Plus having some pretty great burgers(photo: vegi burger) and an awesome Poke bowl!
