What Mec Cotton doesn't like about Subway:

The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. However, I was concerned to see that only one young woman was working there last night. I believe for safety reasons and better customer service, there should always be at least two employees on duty. While I was waiting in line, a couple outside the door seemed suspicious - the man refused to enter, while the woman stood at the door talking quietly with him. He even shined a flashlight into the window, giving me a bad feeling about the situation. It made me realize the importance of having someone else with her. The couple lingered outside, even though it was dark and cold, as the Subway is located in a secluded and poorly lit area. With the neighboring store closed, no one would notice if anything were to happen unless they came in for service. I stayed for a while to keep her company and called the police to do a patrol. I truly hope that the management will implement changes to ensure that all employees are treated with respect, including providing a safe working environment and the ability to handle multiple customers at once.
They do not accept any discounts. There is only one employee working during busy lunch hours, so you may have to wait in line for at least 20 minutes. The management/ owner needs to improve their operations.

I haven't seen a subway as clean and well-run as this one in years. The food line had scoops so the staff didn't have to use their hands, everything was spotless, the bathroom was clean and well-stocked, and the sandwich I ordered was delicious. The soda fountain was also very clean with no mildew around the ice maker. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience at this restaurant.
Despite advertising indoor dining, the Subway location at Kirkwood Plaza does not allow customers to eat inside. However, the workers at this location do a good job making sandwiches and are friendly. On the downside, Subway's Campbell and San Jose restaurants also falsely advertise indoor dining. It is acceptable to not allow indoor dining even after June 15, 2021, but it is illegal to falsely advertise otherwise. Subway's marketing team should be cautious of making false claims. If you prefer indoor dining, it is recommended to visit a different Subway location. The workers at Kirkwood Plaza mentioned they do not have enough staff to clean the dining room, hence the restriction on indoor dining.
