What En doesn't like about Py Kitchen Wine Garden:
Night supervisor Alex and the bartender resolved an issue that needed attention and helped me out. And the bartender went above and beyond to make sure I didn't leave empty-handed. After a long and cold day, we stopped at OY to grab something to eat. Their wine selection was very good. Although they had wines from few wineries, their choices were quite varied. We had a side salad which was quite big. The only down side was that they only had one choice of dressing. We then ordered the rigatoni which was good with a side of meatballs, good as well but the same sauce on both was a bit overwhelming. The other thing was that the food came out Luke warm. It would have been way better if it was served at a proper temperature. The restaurant had a great variety of seating. Since it is a bar, the loudness factor is not appealing when there are several customers who were drinking. A nice place but can get a bit loud.
My wife and I paid $20 per person for this restaurant’s hot food breakfast buffet. My wife and I are fairly frequent weekend travellers around the Bay Area and in Northern California. We have eaten breakfasts too many to count in various hotel restaurants. In my humble opinion they need to offer more in terms of variety and in number of items offered in order to match their competition in the same price range. Ok, their pork sausages were tender, juicy and delicious. The breakfast potatoes I got were no longer hot and were a little hard, but to their credit this batch was quickly removed and a new batch of newly cooked breakfast potatoes were brought out a few minutes later. The hot trays for scrambled eggs and pancakes were empty but those were refilled after I got back to our table. I guess my timing was a little off. My wife went back to the buffet counter to get some freshly cooked scrambled eggs and pancakes. Table service provided by Quan was excellent. The person who cleared tables is a real gentleman and he was always smiling. The coffee was quite good and Quan offered us coffee to go which my wife happily accepted. Thank you, Quan!
Wonderful ambiance and the best chefs in the bay area.
