Naschmarkt - Campbell
Naschmarkt
Description
This charming Austrian-inspired restaurant has left diners with mixed feelings, with some praising the lovely host and attentive service, while others found the food overly salty. Despite some discrepancies in spiciness levels and concerns about fried dishes with excess oils, the overall ambiance was described as pleasant and not crowded, allowing for a nice conversation with a companion. A standout appetizer was the pretzel with cheese sauce, highly recommended by one guest. The goulash received mixed reviews, with suggestions for improvements in thickness and traditional bread pairings. Another diner praised the vast array of dishes sampled, particularly highlighting the homemade pretzel, beer cheese, and decadent desserts. The excellent cocktail menu was also commended by one guest, who found the cuisine to be of better quality than their experiences in Vienna. Overall, the knowledgeable staff, diverse menu, and unique dining experience at Naschmarkt have drawn many back for repeat visits, making it a top recommendation for a special evening out.

Wife birthday. Continues to be one of our favorite places. Food, drinks and service simply outstanding.
Naschmarkt offers Austrian and mid-European specialties, and they are really tasty. Our servers were both helpful and entertaining.
Naschmarkt in Campbell is our favorite Austrian restaurant in Silicon Valley. You can also argue it is only one. I usually order Vienna schnitzel with potatoes salad. It is real Vienna schnitzel with veal and not God forbid pork. Having recent tasteof same in Vienna itself, I can confirm that Naschmarkt one is close to original. Restaurant is usually crowded in the evening,so reservation is recommended, but you can usually reserve same day unless is for Friday or weekend. Prices are high. NotMichelin star high, but getting there. Nothing that unusual in Bay Area. Highly recommended.
