Was Anonym at Java Shack a mag?
This restaurant is my favourite for lunch in Campbell River - try the roasted chicken breast sandwich or the delicious grilled cheese! Plus, the banana bread and coffee is excellent. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Java Shack:
Earlier they have wonderful customer service and good experience here, this summer they have a new dark haired girl working and never blurred about the way she talked to us, how we were stupid, nor did she have anything... we asked her just stared us empty and said "I don't know" View all feedback.

Mold on most of the blueberriesMissing the red pepper sauce on our eggs polennyThe dark roast coffee was lukewarm but the medium was hot.
I have visited this place a few times over the yearsThe coffee is excellent (I'm picky about my java) and the food is great.
The Java Hut is a great café to stop in and grab a good cup of coffee, breakfast, or delicious lunch.
We were on a "hide from the rain" excursion and at the Museum a lady told us about this place. It has a nice patio, but that was out, as the weather was inclement. We ordered, thinking the prices were reasonable and expecting a certain amount for the money paid. Did we ever get surprised! The meal didn't take extraordinarily long, though there was some wait. The meal itself and the salad was a wonderful combination of vegetables, nuts and dressing. The sandwich ( I got a BLT) had unusual ingredients, but so complimented the whole that I was really happy.Even our teenager was happy with the amount of food...and he's a big eater. I had to take some away, but enjoyed it just as much at the second eating!Highly recommend this for food, though the cleanup of tables left a little to be desired, in all it was great We could see the staff was very busy!

Despite some mixed reviews regarding customer service and wait times, Java Shak in Campbell River seems to be a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The menu offers a variety of options, including veggie dishes, sandwiches, and salads, all of which are reportedly delicious and generously portioned. The ambiance is described as funky, cozy, and wheelchair accessible. While some visitors have experienced slow service, the food quality and friendly staff seem to make up for it. Overall, Java Shak appears to be a good choice for a satisfying meal in Campbell River.

Among the freshest most awesome sandwitches in Canada. Filling but light healthy every time. Never dense or too spicy.
Came in with my brother to grab coffee before school. Not only was it delicious but fast and served by a lovely waitress. Can't wait to come back!!

Just opposite the Quadra ferry terminal is the Java Shack, just at the back of the Tyee shopping Centre and facing the ocean on the eastside. It’s clearly a favourite haunt of the locals as we were in at lunchtime and breakfast and it was all locals. The food is very good. Sandwiches take a bit of time, but they are fresh, light and clearly made to order. Coffee is proper coffee full roasted, full bodied and designed to raise the dead much better than the insipid stuff Starbucks serves up. My wife had a bagel and eggs and really enjoyed it. My breakfast bagel with scrambled egg, bacon and cheese was lovely. The staff were very helpful, friendly and responsive. As tourists, it was obvious we weren 't locals, but they were great. I 'd recommend breakfast or lunch they know their clientele and serve good food.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The coffee is excellent, and the baked goods and sandwiches are delightful. I'm a big fan!
The place is a nice little cozy spot however we arrived at 10:45 excited for a breakfast sandwich only to find out they stop serving at 10:30 and only have muffins available. Also took a long time to get the coffee I did order. Probably not the best place to go if your in a hurry.
The food was OK. The service was fast enough and the atmosphere was fine it was a little too silent in there for me.

The grilled cheese paired with roasted red pepper soup was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. It was definitely worth the wait. Despite being very busy, the staff took the time to ensure the meal was well-crafted.
I would highly recommend this place—10 out of 10! If you're in the Campbell River area and looking for a healthy meal, don't miss out on this spot. In the photos, you can see the burger, the vegetables, and the roast beef.
Make sure to stop by if you're in a hurry! This place is bustling for a very good reason. The coffee is outstanding, and the food is some of the best I've had in a long time. Prices are competitive with other establishments. The presentation was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I've never been happier with my breakfast!
Very beautiful little place right in front of the water. I ordered the hot chocolate and if was probably one of the best ones I've been had. From high tables to comfy couches, great place to stop by for a quick drink!
