Food is hit or missed. Mostly good, but occasionally chips are not fresh and salsa is less than tasteful. There are several elements on the menu that are delicious and a few that are meh. However, if you know what you want and ask what is in terms of things, they are more than willing to explain and will help you find something that will satisfy you. Service is wonderful. Fountain so are good and take is well packed. View all feedback.
What Reina Murray doesn't like about El Maguey:
Prices rose by a lot, which I fully understand in this economy, but the sizes went down. So you pay more for less food. The waiting staff was just fine, you had to ask for everything, napkins, refill, ect. I'm looking forward to coming here, but after that I'll find a new place. I cut the empty ends to show you how empty my burrito was. View all feedback.
Very good food. Excellent service and friendly staff. Good location and parking facilities.
Really good Carnitas and the salsa is really nice if you like some herbs (cilantro maybe) in your salsa. Massive portions. Only a 4 hour bike ride ended and starved, but could not finish it yet.

We eat here two or three times a month and the food is always good. Service has always been excellent.
No waiting for service or seats. Place something grungy, but table was clean. The staff was super nice. Food was ok standard American Mexican restaurant tariff and huge portions. Imagine the dinner plate size burritos and fish bowl margaritas.
