Because we usually come through Camden during the summer when the shops and restaurants are super-busy and full, we had never stopped here. But it being April we actually found parking on the street and decided to give Mariner's a try. I have been on a mission to find the perfect' clam chowder and have been disappointed everywhere I order it. It's either too thin or too thick, too bland or too salty, too skimpy on clams or worse, the clams are like rubber. So it was with great skepticism that I ordered a bowl, not expecting much. It was absolutely delicious, chock full of tender clams and potatoes in a savory broth full of flavor and aroma. It was hands down the best I've ever had and I am still talking about it. Hubby had the steak sub and it was enormous and tasty. Prices were very reasonable compared to other restaurants we had been to on our trip. We saw other items on the menu we can't wait to try when we return in the summer. We will most definitely be back.
