Wow what a little gem. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat before a gig at the Roundhouse on Saturday evening. We hadn’t booked but the had a table for us. I had beef Thai green curry and garlic rice. My mate had a pork stir fry-i’m not sure which she had but it looked nice and she ate it all. We had a fancy starter for 2. Good customer service. I went to this local restaurant for dinner with a friend. It was practically empty, so we expected a warm welcome. However, when my friend ordered a drink and I ordered food, the maitre d' informed us that if we couldn't both order food, we would have to leave. Despite there being only a few other patrons in the restaurant at the time, we were treated rudely by the staff, who took away our drinks and escorted us out.... View all feedback.
This was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I will never go back. The owner was extremely rude to the customers.
This was the worst dining experience I have ever had and I will never return! The owner was extremely rude to customers. I have never felt compelled to leave a review before, but this experience was so terrible that I had to speak up. My family and I visited this restaurant on May 17, 2019, and found it to be quite busy. The owner, a woman who insisted on serving us herself and did not allow her employees to interact with customers, left me feeling flustered and upset. When she took our order, I kindly asked her not to be rude, to which she insisted she was not being rude.
After a long day of traveling and walking, I discovered this restaurant on my way back to the subway. I spontaneously decided to have dinner here and was pleasantly surprised. Despite not being very familiar with Thai cuisine, I found the food to be delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, willing to accommodate any special requests within the realm of traditional Thai cooking. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in London.
I recently went back to try the mango sticky rice dessert at the restaurant. It was beautifully presented and delicious, with a perfect mix of sweet and salty flavors. The menu at Muang Thai offers a variety of vegan options, including tofu dishes that can be made without butter. The Panang Curry and Papaya Salad were both fantastic, and even the Pad Khe Mao noodles had a nice kick of sacred basil. The dining room is nicely decorated and comfortable, with heated floors for those chilly days. I can't wait to go back and try more vegan options on the menu.
The Thai cuisine is excellent and there are plenty of vegan choices available. The servers were very friendly as well.
