What Craig Scott doesn't like about Loaf:
Tottenham Court Road isn't just a place to get a cheap second hand iPhone, although it still holds the crown in that particularly niche shopping department. There's some pretty good places to grab lunch around there now, including the recent additions of Big Fernand and DF/Mexico, but for something less heavy there's Loaf. I love their jerk chicken served up with red cabbage, brown rice and a bit of sweet potato mash... View all feedback.
I was looking for something different to eat on my way to the British Library, and I stopped by Loaf for a sandwich. I had the Pesto Chicken Bungalese with ricotta and avocado, and it was plentiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I will be back!
This is a nice and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for lounging, I suppose? The service is friendly, fast, and helpful, with a good variety of food available - salads, hot sandwiches, and other hot items. The avocado puree was a bit salty for my taste, but that's a personal preference. The whole wheat toast was perfectly crispy.
We had to try while in london, the full english breakfast...well it is exactly what you expect..full..thi place is really cool, fun staff, great home made food,a lovely experience all the way.
Over priced soggy sandwiches! Rude staff too. Avoid there are so many better options for lunch nearby.
I've come here on lunch breaks from uni a few times and have always been impressed with the food pulled pork, jerk chicken, bacon/avocado/tomato sandwich yum! The queue on weekday lunchtimes is normally pretty big, service is reasonably fast but you'll strugglr to bags a seat, and it can be pretty draughty with the door opening/closing. If you do manage to get a seat, it's pretty chilled. Go for the food, not the frills!
