The service and ambiance were excellent, but unfortunately, the red velvet cake was dry and not worth the price. However, the apple pie was delicious.

The food was terrible. I requested mustard and was given an open pot of mustard with a spoon in it. We did not finish our meals and found it to be the worst restaurant we have ever been to. This place could be more accurately described as a greasy spoon diner, definitely not a restaurant. I have had better food from an army ration pack. Yuck.

I used to frequent this restaurant because my friend worked there, but I only ever had coffee because the food always seemed average. Now that my friend no longer has any association with this place, I feel it's important to speak out. The kitchen has numerous sanitation issues, and the owners cheated my friend out of payment for their services. The atmosphere is not terrible, but it's nothing noteworthy either - overall, it's not a place you'd want to linger in.

I used to come and sit in here to have a quiet breakfast but recently there’s always a member of staff sat in the space loudly watching TV. It feels a bit like going into a run down living room. I’ve also had food poisoning here once and they often get the order wrong. I wish there was another old school cafe in Belsize Park.
